O'Malley Backs Collective Bargaining For Home Care
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley wants to build on collective bargaining changes he has initiated in the past.
The governor announced Monday he will propose legislation to allow independent home health care providers to engage in collective bargaining activities with state agencies.
Last year, the administration pushed through a measure granting collective bargaining rights for day care providers who contract with the state.
O'Malley, a Democrat, announced his plans to back additional collective bargaining legislation as part of his legislative agenda for the 2011 session.
