BALTIMORE (AP) — A Baltimore fire official says four people, including two toddlers, have escaped an early morning house fire.

Fire department spokesman Chief Kevin Cartwright says firefighters were called to the blaze at a wood-frame home in the 800-block of Beaumont Avenue about 3:40 a.m. Monday by passers-by in a car. Cartwright says the passers-by helped a grandmother, her daughter and two toddlers to safety from the porch of the home.
