POTOMAC, Md. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating an explosion outside a home in Montgomery County that damaged a front window and room.

Police say the explosion happened about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 9200-block of Inglewood Drive in Potomac.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Assistant Chief Scott Graham says investigators discovered a device in front of the home that had been detonated. Graham says no one was at the home at the time of the blast.
