ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland Treasurer Nancy Kopp will give a briefing to a state panel on public funds.

Kopp will address the Joint Committee on the Management of Public Funds on Tuesday in Annapolis.

The treasurer will provide a briefing on the treasurer’s office.

She also will give an overview of state debt. Kopp is slated to give the panel an update on the bond market and information on the state’s upcoming general obligation bond sale.

The treasurer is the state’s chief representative in working with financial rating agencies and investment banking firms. The treasurer also has one of three seats on the state’s Board of Public Works, which approves state contracts. The governor and comptroller are the other two members.
