CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County police have charged two brothers with attempted murder after a confrontation with police in which an officer was shot.

Police say officers encountered the Bookers after getting a report of an armed man Wednesday night in the Capitol Heights area.
Police say Borntruth Booker fled the scene, and officers chased him. Khalil Booker allegedly opened fire on the officers from behind some bushes.READ MORE: Video Shows People Running For Cover After Gunfire in Fells Point Over The Weekend
Officer First Class Julian Mitchell, was shot in the arm.
Another officer, Corporal Travis Rickert, returned fire, but the suspects were not struck.
