ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland Natural Resources Police say they have recovered the body of a man who went missing while crabbing in Tenthouse Creek.

Police say Dean Dixon, 52, of Harwood was found at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities say he had been crabbing from his boat Tuesday and spoke to his family by cell phone about 11 a.m. He was not heard from after that.

Harwood’s body has been taken to the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore for an autopsy.

Police say Harwood’s unoccupied vessel was found on the shore in Galesville.

Is his last name Dixon or Harwood?? Who checks this stuff out before publishing?

  2. Tracey says:

In reading this article the writer could have paid closer attention to the name of the deceased. I am sure his family is distraught enough withut having to read this poorly written blur. The name is Dean Dixon not Harwood. Referring to Harwood’s body and Harwood’s vehicle is disrepectful and a formal apology should be made to the family immediatley.

Thank you, commenters. The police gave the wrong town to begin with, then the papers got hold if it and it just gets worse and worse. Dean Dixon was from Galesville, and was 51. I have emailed for corrections, but they do not seem to care enough to reply.
