BLOG: Not As Much Rain

The main part of the storm that dumped heavy rain in the area Friday has moved well off to the northeast. There will be some showers and thunderstorms around each of the next three days, but we'll go back to the less organized showers, similar to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this past week. So hit-or-miss activity through tomorrow and probably Monday.

On Tuesday there will a better chance for showers and thunderstorms as the upper low causing all of these problems moves eastward along with a frontal boundary and an upper-level short-wave trough. We added thunder to this part of the forecast and there are a few concerns about strong wind gusts and heavier rainfall, but for now we'll just keep the thunderstorm going in the forecast. The upper-low will continue eastward on Wednesday and we'll see some more sunshine and it will likely be dry with showers farther north. Thursday will be another dry day with sunshine and a few clouds.
