Rob Long: Ravens/Chargers
The Baltimore Ravens travel West to take on a very talented San Diego Chargers team for Sunday Night Football on NBC. The last time the Ravens traveled West they lost to a not so talented Seattle Seahawk team. This time, Philip Rivers and company look to fight for Norv Turner's job with what would be a great win for a team that's underachieved.
The Ravens are sporting a four-game winning streak that includes wins over two teams with a combined 4-22 records. The other two wins came against a very feisty Cincinnati Bengals team and a San Francisco 49ers team that's contending for a first-round bye.
The Ravens have some very impressive wins over teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets and Houston Texans. In fact, they have two wins against the Steelers, but I don't have to tell you that.
The fact that the Chargers are loaded with talent makes me feel good about this game. The Ravens usually show up well against teams that can challenge them, and this team can. Look for a high scoring game, but the Purple and Black will prevail.
