Md. Man Faces New Charge In NFL Player Scheme
CENTREVILLE, Md. (AP) -- A man accused of taking money from Maryland schools and falsely promising to have members of the Baltimore Ravens appear faces a new charge in Queen Anne's County.
The Capital of Annapolis says the county sheriff's office obtained an arrest warrant Wednesday for Joseph Myron Gill, who was arrested this month on charges that he took more than $400 from two schools.
Authorities say Gill charged schools to schedule Ravens players to deliver anti-bullying presentations, but none of the money was refunded.
The new charge was filed after the Kent Island High School's PTA reported that Gill received $325 for a promised October assembly that he said would feature a Ravens player. The sheriff's office says Gill never refunded the PTA.
The Ravens say they have no association with Gill.
