WHITE HALL, Md. (WJZ)– Route 50 has been reopened and traffic is now moving after the highway was closed on both directions near White Hall Road over three hours ago.
Authorities from Anne Arundel County investigated a leak from a tractor-trailer. A spokeswoman for the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) said the trailer has now been moved to Sandy Point where the chemical will be loaded off the vehicle. The incident happened on eastbound Route 50.

The cause of the spill remains under investigation.
