Man Arrested In Death Of Community Activist

PALMER PARK, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say they have arrested a man in the slaying of an Alexandria, Va., community activist, whose body was found in a well in Fort Washington last week.

The body of Lenny Harris, 53, was removed over the weekend from the well. Harris, who had been missing since
September, had been shot in the head.

Police on Tuesday said they had arrested Linwood Johnson, 49, of Oxon Hill in the slaying. Officers say robbery was the motive and the two men knew each other.
