BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP)— A customer was shot Tuesday night during a robbery at a Royal Farms in East Baltimore.

Police say just before 10 p.m. Tuesday,  an adult male was shot at the convenience store’s location on Harford and Echodale roads as it was being robbed.

Officials say officers found the 46-year-old victim insid. He was taken to a hospital. The victim is in good condition and should be released from the hospital Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities were told by witnesses that two men, one of whom had a silver handgun, robbed the store of cash and cigarettes before fleeing.

At some point, officials say the customer was shot in the chest. Police are reviewing video surveillance footage from the store.

    I’d bet that if Maryland allowed law abiding citizens to carry a gun with them, these punks would have thought twice before robbing the store. The criminals sontinue to rob, rape and murder people because they know chances are their victims dont have guns on them, because its against the law. If more people were allowed to carry, then Im sure everyone would think again before they decide to do a crime in fear that thier potential victim might be armed.
