Man Charged With Making Explosive Device
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- The Prince George's County Sheriff's Office says deputies have arrested a man who allegedly built an explosive device that was found in a shed in Aquasco.
Christopher Bolton of Silver Spring has been charged with manufacturing or possession of a destructive device. He was arrested on Wednesday and is being held on $750,000.
Deputies say in September, Bolton threatened to kill a person he had a disagreement with and began building a device out of screws, batteries, .40 caliber ammunition rounds and an unknown liquid in a plastic bottle.
On Feb. 7, the device was found in a shed and removed safely by the Fire Marshal's bomb squad. On that date, a warrant was issued for Bolton's arrest.
