Frederick Keys pitching coach Blaine Beatty joined the Norris & Davis Show to discuss just how good Dylan Bundy is.  Taken from a guy who is instrumental in shaping talent at the raw level of class-A, Bundy is everything that he’s rumored to be.

Beatty says Bundy had to make some adjustments to get his pitches up to the level of some of the other guys at the Class-A level, but doesn’t expect to have Bundy in Frederick for too much longer. Beatty says Bundy just needs to gain the knowledge and use of his ability to set up and dictate hitters for him to advance through the system.

“It’s the usage of his secondary stuff for me.  Everything he throws is a plus pitch.  His ability to command the zone is probably the biggest thing, especially with his fastball, and be able to throw his off-speed stuff behind in counts for strikes.”

The Frederick pitching coach estimated that Bundy could be pitching at Camden Yards as early as the end of next season.   Listen to entire interview here:
