CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) -- The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a fire that damaged two public works buildings in Cambridge.

Fire Chief Robert Phillips says firefighters were called to the blaze in the 700-block of Leonard Lane about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire officials arrived to find two buildings engulfed in flames.

Both suffered extensive damage.

Fire crews were still clearing the scene early Thursday morning.
