COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- Police say two men were arrested after shots were fired toward a crowd of about 200 people near the University of Maryland campus in College Park.

A campus police spokesman says neither of the suspects-- Dikimbe David-Brandon and Melvin Watson Jr.-- is a student at the university. Prince George's County police say the men are 20 and 18 years old.

Police say the fight was reported shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, and arriving officers saw a man shooting toward a crowd in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant. Police also saw shots fired from an SUV in the parking lot.

There were no reports of injuries.

Police pulled over a vehicle shortly after the shots were fired and arrested the men. A handgun was recovered. Police believe a third person fled the scene.
