1 Man Charged, Another Sought Related To Crash

PALMER PARK, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police have charged a man with auto theft in connection with a pursuit that led to the death of a county officer.

Police say Kenneth Mitchell, 25, of Washington was an occupant of a car that two officers were chasing on Interstate 95 in Beltsville on Monday afternoon. The officers' car ran off the highway and crashed into a ditch, and Officer Adrian Morris, 23, was killed.

Police also said Wednesday that the second occupant, Kevon Neal, 23, of Fort Washington, has been charged in a warrant with auto theft.

Morris was a native of Kingston, Jamaica, and had been on the force for 2 1/2 years.
