Jeremy Conn: Orioles Playoff Game
So, it has been decided. The Orioles will head to Arlington to play the Texas Rangers Friday night. I'm actually happy about the match-up, but I would have rather played at Camden Yards.
The Rangers are limping into the playoffs, but they have their best pitcher going in the game. Yu Darvish has been outstanding in the month of September but in his last start he went 6.2 innings. He gave up 9 hits and 3 earned runs and he didn't get the win.
I think O's fans would have rather had Tillman, Gonzalez or even Hammel going on Friday. I don't believe that it really matters who the O's start the game with (Saunders got the nod) , he will be flipped unless they are rolling. If the O's had started Johnson, they would have seen primarily a left handed lineup. But no matter who Buck switches to, if it's a few innings in then he will have an advantage. Maybe I am out thinking myself, either way I'm just happy to see my Orioles in the Postseason.
