Md. Woman Struck, Killed On Highway
ESSEX, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County police say a woman is dead after being hit by a truck while standing on a highway.
Police say the accident was reported about 7 p.m. Saturday on Pulaski Highway and Holly Drive near Essex.
A preliminary investigation determined the woman was standing on eastbound Pulaski Highway when she was hit by a pickup truck. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and the woman was pronounced dead while being taken to Franklin Square Hospital.
The woman was identified as Dianna Rae Brooks, 60.
Police say the death is under investigation.
