Police Say 3 Injured In Early Morning D.C. Shootings

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Police in Washington say three people were wounded in two separate shootings in the district.

Officer Anthony Clay says one man reported he was hit in the right thigh by a stray bullet early Sunday while sitting on his couch in the 1900-block of M St. Clay says the two other victims said they were wounded at a house party in the 3900-block of Pennsylvania Ave., SE. One was shot in the left side and the other suffered minor injuries. Clay says investigators have not identified a suspect in that shooting.

The police spokesman says the identities of the three victims and their conditions were not immediately available.
