Health Officials Trying To Determine Cause Of Hopkins Mystery Illness

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Johns Hopkins facility remains closed due to a mysterious illness.

Both buildings at the Keswick complex are closed, a day after several employees began to feel sick.

One by one, employees were loaded into ambulances Tuesday.

In all, 21 people were reported sick. Seventeen people were treated and released at emergency rooms. Two more employees reported symptoms Wednesday.

It's still not clear when the buildings will be reopened or what caused the illness to spread so quickly.

The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and Johns Hopkins University are working with city health officials to test the buildings.
