Frederick Police Arrest Driver After Short Chase

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Police in Frederick say they arrested a female driver after a brief pursuit and charged her with driving under the influence and other charges.

The Frederick Police Department says an officer attempted to pull over a vehicle Saturday night around 11:30 p.m. after the driver failed to stop at a red light in the area of East Patrick Street.

Police say the driver didn't stop and a short chase ensued. Police say the driver struck two buildings on West Patrick Street before coming to stop.

Police identified the driver as 22-year-old Sarah Jane Felton of Frederick. She was charged with driving under the influence, fleeing and eluding a police officer, negligent driving, reckless driving and other charges.
