Xerox To Add 400 Positions At Frostburg, Md. Site

FROSTBURG, Md. (AP) -- Xerox spokesman Bill McKee tells the Cumberland Times-News the hiring will occur over the next two to six months. The jobs are a mix of permanent and temporary project-based jobs.

Xerox is adding primarily customer care agents who answer customer questions and give basic information.

Last August, Xerox announced it was hiring for more than 300 new positions in Frostburg. There are currently more than 300 employees at the facility.

A company recruiter says strong customer service skills are essential for successful applicants.

Allegany County Economic Development Director Matt Diaz says it's great news any time an employer can expand in the county.

Xerox uses space in a shopping plaza that once housed a supermarket.
