$5,000 Reward Being Offered In Animal Abuse Case

DAVIDSONVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- A reward is being offered to anyone who can help find who shot a cat with an arrow in Anne Arundel County.

"Xena" was found almost two weeks ago in the 3000 block of Riva Road in Davidsonville.

A bolt from a crossbow was lodged in its shoulder.

The Humane Society is offering $5,000 for helping finding those responsible.

Xena is recovering at a rescue shelter until a permanent home is found.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Anne Arundel County Animal Control at 410-222-8900.
