Md. Man Sentenced To 115 Years For Stalking Ex-Wife

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- A Prince George's County man has been sentenced to 115 years in prison for threatening to rape and kill his ex-wife and her daughters.

Michael Anthony Johnson was sentenced Thursday. He'll have to serve 85 years, with the remaining years running concurrent.

The 33-year-old Hyattsville man was convicted in June of stalking, reckless endangerment, harassment and violating a protective order.

Prosecutors say Johnson sent vulgar and threatening emails to his ex-wife. He also set up fake online profiles claiming to be her and asking men to come to her house and have sex with her.

Johnson admitted to authorities that he controlled the email accounts that the messages came from, but denied sending them. Prosecutors say the messages stopped after his arrest.

He had previously been convicted of assaulting her.
