Anne Arundel County Using Up Leopold Envelopes

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County is using up thousands of envelopes printed with the name of former County Executive John R. Leopold, who resigned after being convicted of misconduct.

The County Council appointed Laura Neuman to replace Leopold in February. The Capital of Annapolis reports that when Neuman took over there were 560,000 envelopes left that had been ordered in bulk and were printed with Leopold's name.

Neuman, a Republican, said the subject of replacing the envelopes came up. She says she didn't order new ones because replacing them would have cost more than $10,000.
