WALDORF, Md. (WJZ) -- A standoff in Charles County leaves one person injured.

It happened in Waldorf early Friday morning.

Deputies say they were serving a search warrant at a home in the 4600-block of Gadwell Place when they came across an armed occupant.

There was an exchange of gunfire and William Bell, 23, was shot multiple times.

Emergency crews flew Bell to an area hospital, where he's said to be in stable condition.
