OCEAN CITY, Md. (WJZ) — A fishing vessel catches fire in Ocean City.

According to the O.C. Coast Guard, the boat caught fire near 5th Street Saturday afternoon about a quarter of a mile out in the water.

Two people were on board. Both were rescued unharmed.

The Coast Guard says the fire engulfed the vessel, and it sank as a result.

A local salvage company will now try to recover it.
