Dan Duquette On The Orioles Offseason Plans
Dan Duquette is the Orioles Executive VP of Baseball Operations. Dan is in control of signing free agents, and re-signing current Orioles as well as making draft picks for the club, he joined Ed & Steve to talk about the plans for the Orioles off-season.
The Orioles will wrap up a disappointing season on Sunday missing the playoffs for the 15th time in the last 16 years. Dan's job of getting the Orioles back to the playoffs will really start Monday morning.
The Orioles have some questions as they head into the off-season on their roster. The O's have many positions of need including finding a dependable 2nd baseman, a true DH, a left fielder, some starting pitching help, bullpen help, and possibly a new closer.

Dan's other big job will be to figure out what to do with Brian Roberts, Nate McLouth, Scott Feldman, and other pending free agents. Dan will also be trying to work out long-term extensions for superstar Chris Davis, and catcher Matt Wieters.
