WEATHER BLOG: Counting On Sunshine

A large area of high pressure will remain in place. This will allow for northeasterly winds once again and keep the entire region dry. It will take some time for clouds to erode, but we do expect some breaks in the clouds during the afternoon.

We are counting on enough sunshine to get us into the lower 70s. If clouds fail to break then just getting to 70 degrees will be difficult. It will not be the clearest of nights Friday with some clouds lingering.

The high pressure center will shift slowly toward the east Saturday, passing north of the area, and winds will gradually become more easterly. We will have to allow for some clouds on Saturday, since the air above the surface will be slow to dry.

Sunday looks nice with sun and some clouds. Temperatures over the weekend will be pretty close to normal for the latter part of September.
