WEATHER BLOG: Warming Trend

There will be some showers, or maybe a period of rain and drizzle, in parts of the area late Friday night and Saturday morning. The best chance will be in the southern and eastern parts of the viewing area.

Until then, it's dry and getting milder and the trend to milder continues even after that until the arrival of the cold front on Monday.

Friday is shaping up to be one of the nicest days of the week with the warming trend in full swing. It won't be quite as sunny as Thursday, however, as a disturbance in the southern Plains starts to lift into the mid-Atlantic. The deep-level moisture associated with this disturbance won't arrive until Friday night and will quickly move off the coast during the day Saturday.

Most of the viewing area should stay dry despite the deep moisture, but some spots will see a shower or two Friday night and into Saturday morning, especially in southern and eastern parts of the viewing area. The trend of warmer weather will continue right into Sunday.
