1920s Salisbury Building Becoming Home For Dance

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- A former bank building in Salisbury will become the home of the Eastern Shore Ballet Theatre and the Salisbury Dance Academy.

The 19,000-square-foot historic building had been vacant for several years. It was built in 1920 and was formerly the AllFirst Bank.

The non-profit Eastern Shore Ballet Theatre was founded in 1991. Its current home is the Salisbury Dance Academy in Fruitland, which will also be moving to the bank building.

The move is expected to happen in the summer of 2014.
