The Ravens announced their new offensive coordinator, Gary Kubiak on Monday. His resume is very extensive as both a coordinator and a head coach. But the real question is, can he take the Ravens offense from 29th in the NFL to new heights? Matt Vensel of the Baltimore Sun joined Zinno on “Last Call” to discuss the hire and more.

“I think it’s a great hire for them. He’s a proven play caller – someone with his track record will organize this offense,” Vensel said. The Ravens offense may look very much like the Texans offense had over the past few season. Rick Dennison, who was Kubiak’s offensive coordinator in Houston, has joined the Ravens staff as quarterbacks coach.

Joe Flacco has yet to really develop into an elite passer in this league through his six years. “The real guy that is going to benefit is Flacco. Kubiak is going to have a close working relationship with Joe. He’s been with some great quarterbacks,” Vensel said.
