Officials ID Worker Killed In Water Tower Fall

PASADENA, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County fire department officials are identifying a worker who died when he fell 180 feet from a Pasadena water tower.

Officials say 21-year-old Chad Weller of Stevensville was working on cellular communications equipment on the tower on Mountain Road on Wednesday afternoon when he fell.

Fire Department Division Chief Keith Swindle says the tower is behind a building that houses a police and fire station. Paramedics tried to resuscitate the man, but he was pronounced dead.

Officials say Maryland Occupational Safety and Health continues to investigate the incident.
