SALISBURY, Md. (WJZ) — One person is dead and another is injured after a home invasion in Salisbury.

Police believe the victims were assaulted with a blunt object in the 27000-block of Pemberton Drive early Wednesday morning.

Donald Mariner, 72, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim was taken to an area hospital. He is not being identified due to concerns for his safety.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
