Jerry Coleman: Ray Rice Makes Ravens Look Small

We all wanted to believe the Ravens and their effervescent RB Ray Rice - but as they say " The tape never lies". Earlier this morning , TMZ Sports posted the rest of the Video that displays Rice punching his then-fiancee Janay Palmer, in the face, during an Atlantic City hotel elevator ride in February.

The punch drew a two-game suspension from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, a penalty that was harshly criticized. So much so, that Goodell revamped NFL's policies against domestic violence. Rice got essentially a "slap on the wrist". Suspended for two games on July 25th, and fined more than $500,000 (2 game checks from this year, and one from 2013).

You really have to wonder, if the "Revel Casino" never went bankrupt, the video might not ever have been seen. Now, the world is watching.

In the TMZ video, Rice strikes Palmer, who hits him back. Rice then hits her again, and she falls to the ground hitting her head on the hand rail on the way down. The elevator then stops and he drags her out.

It's indeed time for the Ravens to step up and further punish Rice . 2 games doesn't seem to be enough for such a violent act that was misrepresented by the team, and Rice. The ball is in the Ravens court.
