Glenn Younes: Orioles Win After Clinch
This one will be short and sweet, the Orioles lengthened their lead to 14 1/2 in the AL East following a sweep of Toronto 6-1 on Wednesday. That came a night after the Birds clinched the AL East with a win at home for the 1st time in 45 years.
45 years!
Aka party as hard as you like because you, Baltimore Orioles, have earned it.
Which brings me to the Wednesday win. I'm impressed with the hunger, fight, will and determination of this Orioles ball club and it showed Wednesday. Not a person in the world would have minded if the team came out flat, lethargic or hungover (mentally and or physically). Which is exactly why they came out to win out and did just that. It's remarkable the drive of this team.
Winning after clinching tells me so much about the teams character. These are powerful professionals. Credit due to so many! It's nice to see the mental and physical discipline of winners. Lots can be learned from that.
Well done, men. Well done.
