CBS is making some updates to its fall primetime schedule.
To capitalize on the early success of the Big Bang Theory’s Monday premiere, CBS will be doubling up on the series to open Monday nights for the next three weeks.
New episodes of the geek-centric comedy will continue to air Mondays at 8:00PM ET/PT followed by a rebroadcast of a different episode at 8:30PM ET/PT on Monday, Sept. 29, Oct. 6, and Oct. 13.
Meanwhile, the critically acclaimed “Mom” will now premiere on Thursday Oct. 30 at 8:30PM ET/PT, launching CBS’ signature Thursday comedy block alongside “The Big Bang Theory.”
Don’t worry, “Mom” will return to Mondays at 8:30PM ET/PT on Jan. 5.
Finally, the second season of “The Millers” will now debut on Monday, Oct. 20 at 8:30PM, but will return to Thursdays on Jan. 8.
Even though CBS is making waves with its new shows, returning ones seem to have the same pull they did a year ago.
