Every year, StadiumJourney.com ranks the 30 Major League stadiums using the FANFARE scale. The items included in this scale include “the food and beverage in the ballpark, the overall atmosphere, the neighborhood where the stadium is located, the fans, the access (which includes parking, traffic, restrooms, and handicap accessibility), the overall return on investment, and any special or unique features.”

Stadium Journey had this to say after naming Oriole Park at Camden Yards best overall fan experience for the first time since 2010:

“History was made by Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Its opening changed baseball and the way fans chose to experience games. A fan will revel in its festival-like atmosphere while still enjoying the purity of quality baseball.”

The incredible atmosphere surrounding the 2014 season certainly added to the experience for both home and visiting fans at the Yard. The Orioles clinched the American League East with a win at home and the stadium exploded with excitement. That same excitement carried the Birds straight into the playoffs where they swept the Detroit Tigers in the ALDS.
