Volunteers Needed For Missing Toddler Search On Sunday

CLARKSBURG, Md. (WJZ) -- A call for help in the search for missing Maryland toddlers Sarah and Jacob Hoggle.

Volunteers are needed for a large scale search that will cover the Germantown and Clarksburg area in grids.

Three-year-old Sarah and two-year-old Jacob were last seen in September with their mother, Catherine Hoggle, who's been diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic.

Police arrested her days later when she was found wandering Montgomery County streets alone. She has since refused to say what she did with the kids, only telling family members they are safe and with someone.

Volunteers should come at 10 a.m. Sunday to the Germantown Community Recreation Center at 18905 Kingsview Drive.

Searchers need to be 18 years old and must be comfortable with off-trail searches. They are asked to wear long pants, long shirts, hiking boots or work boots, hats and garden type gloves.

Grid searches take approximately two to four hours to complete.
