There are few games in Week 13 of the NFL season that have the type of intensity which will be displayed on Sunday when the Chargers and Ravens face off. That’s because both teams know that a win would be huge with tie breakers likely in a jam packed AFC North.

The Ravens have been close to full strength for quite some time. One of the players keeping them from achieving that goal is Michael Campanaro. He’s been dealing with a hamstring injury for a few weeks and has yet to see the field in that time period. Campanaro participated in practice for the first time since the injury, though his participation was limited. He’s listed as Questionable for the game on Sunday, but Ravens Coach John Harbaugh wants to make sure he’s 100% before bringing him back.

“He’s coming along,” Harbaugh said. “It’s a process with hamstring [injuries]. You can’t really push that thing too much.”

Campanaro looked to be catching on to the flow of the offense before going down with the hamstring injury. He’ll be a valuable asset for Flacco once he returns on the field, just don’t expect it to be this week. The same can’t be said for Pernell McPhee, though it didn’t appear that way earlier this week. McPhee appeared on the injury report for the first time this season with a shoulder injury. The injury was severe enough to limit his participation in practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

But his injury appears to be a minor one as he fully participated in practice on Friday. His limitations appear to be more of a cautious move by the Ravens and will likely play on Sunday against the Chargers. They’ll need him against Philip Rivers as McPhee has been relentlessly pursuing quarterbacks for the entire season. He along with Suggs and Dumervil makes this defense one of the more lethal units in the NFL.
