MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal has tweeted citing sources saying Dan Duquette wants to leave the Orioles, where he is Executive Vice-President of Baseball Operations, for the Toronto Blue Jays CEO position. Dan Duquette has been instrumental in the Orioles rise from cellar dweller to AL East Champions & is currently signed for 3 more years.
Recently honored as MLB Executive of the year, the move would be a step up for Dan Duquette & his loss would be a potentially greater blow to the Baltimore Orioles than the recent losses of Nelson Cruz (Mariners) & Nick Markakis (Braves).
Sources: Duquette wants to leave #Orioles, become #BlueJays’ prez/CEO. Some with club not opposed to his departure. Angelos standing in way.

Duquette signed with #Orioles through 2018. Prez/CEO would be step up to business position, similar to what Dombrowski has with #Tigers.
