COLESVILLE, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County police say they’ve made an arrest in the killing of a 95-year-old WWII veteran.

Police say Dan Belvin, a retired Navy officer, was found dead Monday in his Colesville apartment with trauma to his torso.

Police say officers responded to the scene after a concerned friend called to say he hadn’t heard from Belvin.

On Wednesday, police said they arrested 60-year-old Eric Dyson in Belvin’s death. Online court records show that Dyson lives in the same senior-living community as Belvin did. He’s charged with first-degree murder and a number of theft charges in the case.
