“Glass striking one of the subjects in the vehicle–glass got in her face. And then, the bullet penetrated the clothing of another subject that was in the vehicle,” said Lt. Kevin Ayd, MdTA Police.

WJZ confirms both the driver and passenger are employees of Nelson Tree Services. They were taken to an area hospital.

Police now work to uncover whether the pair were targeted.

“They’re looking in a wooded area along that roadway. But they’re canvassing the whole area,” said Lt. Ayd.
