Free Agency Frenzy With Ryan Wilson
Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to discuss potential moves that could be made in NFL free agency. But right before Ryan was able to get on the Ravens made a big move to free up some cap space by trading defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and a 7th round pick to the Detroit Lions for a 4th and 5th round pick in this years draft. Ryan weighed in on what the Ravens were able to get from the deal. "A 4th and 5th is better than cutting Ngata, and 8 to 9 million is saved on the cap."
This time of the year a lot of Ravens fans are not too keen on Ravens General Manager Haloti Ngata. Ryan believes that fans need to step off the ledge. "Ozzie has a great track record with turning a mid to late round picks into guys that can play."
And finally Scott and Jeremy asked Ryan if fans could see any suprises throughout the remainder of the free agency period. Ryan thinks most of the big free agents have already decided where they will wind up. "With the exception of Gore, we already know where the 'A' rated players are going. Who are remaining are the 'B' to 'C' range players."
