Jeff Ermann of InsideMDSports.com joined Sports Rehab to breakdown the Maryland Terps as they head to Chicago for the Big Ten Tournament.
The Maryland Terps have a a very successful first season in the Big Ten and now they head for Chicago to participate in their first Big Ten tournament. Coach Mark Turgeon was voted Big Ten Coach of the Year, Melo Trimble was voted to the All-Freshman Team and First Team All-Conference by the media, and Dez Wells was voted All-Conference by the coaches.
The team finished the regular season 26-5 and the 26 regular season wins are the most in school history. Maryland will the Indiana/Northwestern winner on Friday evening. When asked about the Terps resurgence, Ermann said "They could be as good or even better next year. This has been the year that Maryland has rebounded from a long slumber."
