MdTA Police Honor Top Cops
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- MdTA police are honoring those who have distinguished themselves during 2014.
Officer Howard Burnett was named the MdTA police officer of the year. He's been assigned to the ICC and received the award for exceptional work and service.
More than 60 officers and civilians were also honored.
Recipients were nominated by fellow employees or citizens.
The MdTA police is the seventh largest law enforcement agency in the state with more than 600 sworn and civilian professionals. They provide law enforcement on highways, bridges, tunnels, BWI and the Port of Baltimore.
