WVU Coach Bob Huggins' Daughters Taunt Maryland's Dez Wells On Twitter

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- War of words. As the Terps fall to West Virginia in the NCAA Tournament, the adult daughters of West Virginia's coach make some controversial comments online.

Their target--Maryland's star player--Dez Wells.

Meghan McCorkell has more on what was posted.

The Twitter accounts of both of the Huggins sisters have now been set to private--but not before those tweets caused some serious controversy.

As things heated up on the court between the Terps and West Virginia, things got even uglier online.

During the game, the two adult daughters of West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins took to Twitter after a Maryland fan was shown wearing a yarmulke.

Jenna Huggins writing:

Her sister Jacqueline writing:

"Hey Maryland, yell 'airball' all you want at Wan, because at the end of the day ... Dez is still a [expletive] RAPIST."

They're talking about Maryland guard Dez Wells.

Wells transferred to Maryland after he was expelled from Xavier University in 2012, where he was accused of sexual assault.

No charges were ever filed against him and he filed a lawsuit against the school for damaging his reputation. That suit was settled out of court.

On Monday, Wells tweeted back:

Jenna Huggins is listed as a program assistant for West Virginia's athletic department.

Wells has previously been heckled by fans since the rape allegation.
