BALTIMORE (WJZ) -For more than a decade, WJZ has been helping the hungry by collecting donations and food for the Maryland Food Bank.
This weekend join WJZ, the Orioles and MASN as the team takes on the Yankees and bring canned goods or cash donations to Camden Yards as we kick off the 29th annual OriolesREACH Food and Funds Drive.READ MORE: Investigation Underway Following Fatal Car Fire In Baltimore City
As a part of WJZ‘s Continuing Community Commitment, we’re proud to sponsor of the event from June 12 to June 14.
WJZ anchors and reporters along with other volunteers will collecting monetary donations along with non-perishable food items. Donations can be made at each entrance from the time gates open through the middle of the 2nd inning during all games this weekend.
The drive benefits soup kitchens, food pantries and emergency shelters throughout Maryland. According to the Maryland Food Bank, the most-needed items are peanut butter, canned chicken, canned tuna, oatmeal, breakfast cereals, and canned fruits and vegetables.

On Friday, June 12 at 7:05 p.m.
Chelsea Ingram, Alex DeMetrick, Ron Matz and Mark Viviano will be on hand to collect your donations.
On Saturday, June 13 at 7:15 p.m.
Mary Bubala, Amy Yensi, Tracey Leong, Linh Bui and Mike Schuh will be available to collect your donations.

Bob Turk, Denise Koch, Pat Warren, Tim Williams, Derek Valcourt, Kristy Breslin, Marcus Washington and Mike Hellgren will be collecting your donations.
