TOWSON, Md. (AP) — A woman has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for fatally stabbing a man in a bar fight.
Thirty-three-year-old Shelbie Mech pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old John Bowman. She was sentenced Friday in Baltimore County Circuit Court.READ MORE: Baltimore Police Searching For 2 Missing Children, 14- and 3-Years-Old
Prosecutors say on July 7, 2013, Mech stabbed Bowman twice in the abdomen while he was being held by a security guard in the Fishhead Cantina in Arbutus. Authorities say Mech’s husband, 37-year-old Michael Singer, drove her away from the scene after the stabbing.
